Connect Visma eAccounting to Hypamoon
Possible, with help from Visma eAccounting. The API is documented, but you cannot just create a key: access goes through Visma eAccounting first.
PossibleThe check
Three questions about the API of Visma eAccounting, answered from its own docs.
- Public API docs
- Yes. Read the docs
- A key you create yourself
- No. You must register as a partner to get credentials and a sandbox; production access is granted on request by API support. developer.vismaonline.com
- Versions or a changelog
- Yes. Version 2 in the URL and a dated changelog. developer.vismaonline.com
- How it signs in
- OAuth 2.0 through the Visma identity server; access tokens last 60 minutes and refresh tokens two years.
- Webhooks
- Not confirmed.
- Hosting
- Cloud
- Condition
- Needs partner registration, and production access is granted on request.
In practice
What it takes in a real Visma eAccounting administration.
- Getting access
- The developer registers in the Visma (Spiris) partner programme to get a client ID and sandbox, asks API support for production access, and the customer then signs in once with Visma to approve the app.
- Limits
- 600 requests per minute per client and per endpoint; over the limit you get HTTP 429. developer.vismaonline.com
- Writing
- Read and write. Create and update customers and create customer invoice drafts.
- Cost
- Visma's Dutch partner page says the API is free to use, with no limit on the number of integrations. nl.visma.com
What you can build
Create the customer and a draft invoice in eAccounting as soon as a job is marked done in your planning tool, so the invoice is ready to check and send.
Your chat writes it as a Hypamoon adapter from the docs above. Reading starts after you click Allow in the portal, and every write waits for your approval, one call at a time. How adapters work
Good to know
- Visma eAccounting signs in with OAuth or signed requests only, with tokens that expire. The Hypamoon vault holds a fixed key today, so an adapter for Visma eAccounting takes more work: ask your chat to check this first.
- Limit of 600 requests per minute per client and endpoint. The developer docs now use the name Spiris.
Try it in your chat
First get access from Visma eAccounting. Then fill in what to read and write, and send it.
Build the Hypamoon recipe build-an-adapter for Visma eAccounting. API docs: https://developer.vismaonline.com/. Read: [what]. Write: [what, or nothing].
In Claude, or another chat with the full Hypamoon connection; adapters are not in ChatGPT yet. You paste the key in the portal, never in the chat. The full recipe

Tool not listed? Ask the chat to check its API.
The same three checks work for any software. Your chat reads the vendor's own docs and tells you what it found.
Check if [software] has an open API that a Hypamoon adapter can use: public API docs, a key or token I can create myself without asking the vendor, and versions or a changelog. Link the pages you used.
Fill in the name of your software. Checking needs no connection to Hypamoon.
Ready to connect Visma eAccounting?
Connect your chat once, then ask it to build the adapter.
