What it takes in a real Pennylane administration.
- Getting access
- As an admin go to Settings, Connectivity, Developers, click Generate an API Token, pick read or read and write, choose an expiry and copy the token once.
- Limits
- 25 requests every 5 seconds per token; going over returns HTTP 429 with a retry-after header. pennylane.readme.io
- Writing
- Read and write. With a read and write token you create and update customers, invoices, quotes, billing subscriptions and ledger entries.
- Cost
- Not published.

Good to know
- Your adapter uses a fixed key: you paste it once in the Hypamoon portal, never in the chat, and it only goes to the API host you allow.
- 25 requests per 5 seconds per token. Webhooks are in beta. Accounting firms have a separate Firm API token.
