Connect Exact Globe+ to Hypamoon

Possible, with help from Exact Globe+. The API is documented, but you cannot just create a key: access goes through Exact Globe+ first.

Possible

The check

Three questions about the API of Exact Globe+, answered from its own docs.

Public API docs
Yes. Exact publishes how-to documents for the REST and SOAP entity services. Read the docs
A key you create yourself
No. Building an integration with Exact Globe+ needs a license: Exact for Connectivity (API) or Exact for Developer (SDK), arranged through a partner. exact.com
Versions or a changelog
Not confirmed. REST services exist since Globe Next version 405; no API changelog found. productupdates.exact.com
How it signs in
Windows (NTLM) sign in with an Exact Globe+ employee account that has the right function rights; each request names the SQL server and company database.
Hosting
Self-hosted
Condition
Needs an Exact for Connectivity license.

In practice

What it takes in a real Exact Globe+ administration.

Getting access
Your Exact partner arranges the Exact for Connectivity licence; an administrator then switches on the entity services under Connectivity settings in Globe+ and creates a Globe+ employee account with the right function rights for the integration.
Limits
None published.
Writing
Read and write. Create records with POST and update them with MERGE through the entity services; not every entity supports every operation, and some services are write only.
Cost
Needs a paid Exact for Connectivity licence; Exact does not publish the price. exact.com

What you can build

A small online order form or customer portal that writes sales orders into the Globe+ server in your office, so nobody types web orders over.

Your chat writes it as a Hypamoon adapter from the docs above. Reading starts after you click Allow in the portal, and every write waits for your approval, one call at a time. How adapters work

Good to know

  • Your adapter uses a fixed key: you paste it once in the Hypamoon portal, never in the chat, and it only goes to the API host you allow.
  • The entity services run on your own Globe server (port 8020 by default) and use Windows sign in; you need a secure gateway or tunnel to reach them from the internet. What you can do depends on your installed version.
  • Exact plans to phase out the XML interfaces in favour of the REST services.

Try it in your chat

First get access from Exact Globe+. Then fill in what to read and write, and send it.

Say this in your chat

Build the Hypamoon recipe build-an-adapter for Exact Globe+. API docs: https://productupdates.exact.com/docs/DocView.aspx?DocumentID=%7Ba70e7f49-1ccc-4b78-b1ad-38d749826a02%7D&NoHeader=1&NoSubject=1. Read: [what]. Write: [what, or nothing].

In Claude, or another chat with the full Hypamoon connection; adapters are not in ChatGPT yet. You paste the key in the portal, never in the chat. The full recipe

Exact Globe+ is a name of its owner, used here only to describe the software. This page is not an official integration and Hypamoon has no partnership with Exact Globe+. Found something that changed? Tell us at support.

Tool not listed? Ask the chat to check its API.

The same three checks work for any software. Your chat reads the vendor's own docs and tells you what it found.

Say this in your chat

Check if [software] has an open API that a Hypamoon adapter can use: public API docs, a key or token I can create myself without asking the vendor, and versions or a changelog. Link the pages you used.

Fill in the name of your software. Checking needs no connection to Hypamoon.

Ready to connect Exact Globe+?

Connect your chat once, then ask it to build the adapter.
