Connect Twinfield to Hypamoon

Possible, with help from Twinfield. The API is documented, but you cannot just create a key: access goes through Twinfield first.

Possible

The check

Three questions about the API of Twinfield, answered from its own docs.

Public API docs
Yes. Read the docs
A key you create yourself
No. Every integration must be certified by Wolters Kluwer as part of a paid, ongoing Twinfield API subscription, which also gives access to the Developer Portal where clients are registered. assets.contenthub.wolterskluwer.com
Versions or a changelog
Yes. Breaking changes are announced with deprecation, sunset and end of life dates. developers.twinfield.com
How it signs in
OpenID Connect and OAuth 2.0; access tokens last one hour and refresh tokens are long lived.
Webhooks
Not confirmed.
Hosting
Cloud
Condition
Needs a paid Twinfield API subscription with certification by Wolters Kluwer.

In practice

What it takes in a real Twinfield administration.

Getting access
You take out a paid Twinfield API subscription with Wolters Kluwer, register the client in the Developer Portal, get the integration certified, and the customer signs in once to approve it.
Limits
Credits per minute: 1,000 per IP address, 1,000 per organisation and 1,000 per client (500 per client and organisation); a query costs 1 credit, other requests 3. Uncertified clients get 5% of these numbers. At most 20 concurrent requests per client, 10 per organisation. developers.twinfield.com
Writing
Read and write. Add sales and journal transactions through the SOAP and XML services; at most 1,000 lines per transaction.
Cost
Every integration needs an ongoing paid Twinfield API subscription that includes certification; the price is not published. Twinfield may raise the fee for use far above average. assets.contenthub.wolterskluwer.com

What you can build

Book sales from your web shop or till into Twinfield as one daily transaction, and ask your chat for open items per customer without opening Twinfield.

Your chat writes it as a Hypamoon adapter from the docs above. Reading starts after you click Allow in the portal, and every write waits for your approval, one call at a time. How adapters work

Good to know

  • Twinfield signs in with OAuth or signed requests only, with tokens that expire. The Hypamoon vault holds a fixed key today, so an adapter for Twinfield takes more work: ask your chat to check this first.
  • Most web services are SOAP with XML; the access token goes in the SOAP header.

Try it in your chat

First get access from Twinfield. Then fill in what to read and write, and send it.

Say this in your chat

Build the Hypamoon recipe build-an-adapter for Twinfield. API docs: https://developers.twinfield.com/documentation/. Read: [what]. Write: [what, or nothing].

In Claude, or another chat with the full Hypamoon connection; adapters are not in ChatGPT yet. You paste the key in the portal, never in the chat. The full recipe

Twinfield is a name of its owner, used here only to describe the software. This page is not an official integration and Hypamoon has no partnership with Twinfield. Found something that changed? Tell us at support.

Tool not listed? Ask the chat to check its API.

The same three checks work for any software. Your chat reads the vendor's own docs and tells you what it found.

Say this in your chat

Check if [software] has an open API that a Hypamoon adapter can use: public API docs, a key or token I can create myself without asking the vendor, and versions or a changelog. Link the pages you used.

Fill in the name of your software. Checking needs no connection to Hypamoon.

Ready to connect Twinfield?

Connect your chat once, then ask it to build the adapter.
