Connect Sage Intacct to Hypamoon

Possible, with help from Sage Intacct. The API is documented, but you cannot just create a key: access goes through Sage Intacct first.

Possible

The check

Three questions about the API of Sage Intacct, answered from its own docs.

Public API docs
Yes. Read the docs
A key you create yourself
No. A Web Services developer license with a sender ID is needed and is obtained through your Sage account manager; the company admin must then enable Web Services and authorize the sender ID. developer.intacct.com
Versions or a changelog
Yes. Requests carry a DTD version (3.0, with 2.1 still supported). developer.intacct.com
How it signs in
XML API: a sender ID and password plus company login (company ID, user ID, password) that returns a session ID. The newer REST API uses OAuth client credentials from an app registered with the same license.
Webhooks
Not confirmed.
Hosting
Cloud
Condition
Requires a Web Services developer license (sender ID) from your Sage account manager and the Web Services subscription switched on in the company.

In practice

What it takes in a real Sage Intacct administration.

Getting access
Ask your Sage account manager for a Web Services developer license (sender ID and password). Your admin enables the Web Services subscription, authorizes the sender ID and creates a Web Services user.
Limits
No fixed quota published; concurrent connections per company are limited and queued, queries should stay under 1,000 records, changes under 100 records per request, and requests can time out after 15 minutes. developer.intacct.com
Writing
Read and write. Create, update and delete objects such as vendors, customers, bills, invoices and journal entries through XML functions.
Cost
The developer license is a paid subscription and API transactions are billed to the sender ID owner; no public price. developer.intacct.com

What you can build

Push approved purchase or sales documents into Intacct and look up vendors, customers or GL balances from your chat.

Your chat writes it as a Hypamoon adapter from the docs above. Reading starts after you click Allow in the portal, and every write waits for your approval, one call at a time. How adapters work

Good to know

  • Your adapter uses a fixed key: you paste it once in the Hypamoon portal, never in the chat, and it only goes to the API host you allow.
  • API transactions are billed to the owner of the sender ID. Keep queries under 1,000 records and changes under 100 records per request. The XML API takes POST only, no JSON.

Try it in your chat

First get access from Sage Intacct. Then fill in what to read and write, and send it.

Say this in your chat

Build the Hypamoon recipe build-an-adapter for Sage Intacct. API docs: https://developer.intacct.com/web-services/. Read: [what]. Write: [what, or nothing].

In Claude, or another chat with the full Hypamoon connection; adapters are not in ChatGPT yet. You paste the key in the portal, never in the chat. The full recipe

Sage Intacct is a name of its owner, used here only to describe the software. This page is not an official integration and Hypamoon has no partnership with Sage Intacct. Found something that changed? Tell us at support.

Tool not listed? Ask the chat to check its API.

The same three checks work for any software. Your chat reads the vendor's own docs and tells you what it found.

Say this in your chat

Check if [software] has an open API that a Hypamoon adapter can use: public API docs, a key or token I can create myself without asking the vendor, and versions or a changelog. Link the pages you used.

Fill in the name of your software. Checking needs no connection to Hypamoon.
