Connect X (Twitter) to Hypamoon
Possible, with help from X (Twitter). The API is documented, but you cannot just create a key: access goes through X (Twitter) first.
PossibleThe check
Three questions about the API of X (Twitter), answered from its own docs.
- Public API docs
- Yes. Read the docs
- A key you create yourself
- No. Keys come from the Developer Console without review, but the API is a paid product: you buy credits upfront and each read or write costs money. There is no free tier on the pricing page. docs.x.com
- Versions or a changelog
- Yes. Version 2 endpoints under /2/. docs.x.com
- How it signs in
- An app-only Bearer token for public data, OAuth 1.0a signed requests with your own access token and secret to act as your account, or OAuth 2.0 with PKCE for other accounts.
- Webhooks
- Not confirmed.
- Hosting
- Cloud
- Condition
- Pay per use: credits are bought upfront in the Developer Console and charged per request, for example per post read or write. Above 3 million post reads a month you need the Enterprise plan.
What you can build
Post updates from your own account and track mentions of your brand, paid per request.
Your chat writes it as a Hypamoon adapter from the docs above. Reading starts after you click Allow in the portal, and every write waits for your approval, one call at a time. How adapters work
Good to know
- Your adapter uses a fixed key: you paste it once in the Hypamoon portal, never in the chat, and it only goes to the API host you allow.
- Your own access token and secret are shown in the Developer Console, so acting as your own account needs no login flow.
Try it in your chat
First get access from X (Twitter). Then fill in what to read and write, and send it.
Build the Hypamoon recipe build-an-adapter for X (Twitter). API docs: https://docs.x.com/x-api/introduction. Read: [what]. Write: [what, or nothing].
In Claude, or another chat with the full Hypamoon connection; adapters are not in ChatGPT yet. You paste the key in the portal, never in the chat. The full recipe

X (Twitter) is a name of its owner, used here only to describe the software. This page is not an official integration and Hypamoon has no partnership with X (Twitter). Found something that changed? Tell us at support.
Tool not listed? Ask the chat to check its API.
The same three checks work for any software. Your chat reads the vendor's own docs and tells you what it found.
Check if [software] has an open API that a Hypamoon adapter can use: public API docs, a key or token I can create myself without asking the vendor, and versions or a changelog. Link the pages you used.
Fill in the name of your software. Checking needs no connection to Hypamoon.
