Connect Shopify to Hypamoon
Yes, with one catch. Shopify has an open API that you can use yourself, but it signs in with OAuth only, and that takes more work in a Hypamoon adapter today.
OpenThe check
Three questions about the API of Shopify, answered from its own docs.
- Public API docs
- Yes. Read the docs
- A key you create yourself
- Yes. Create an app in the Dev Dashboard of your own organization, install it on your store and use the client credentials grant. New custom apps can no longer be made in the store admin. shopify.dev
- Versions or a changelog
- Yes. Date based versions every quarter, each supported for at least 12 months. shopify.dev
- How it signs in
- Client ID and secret of an app in your own organization; the client credentials grant gives an access token that expires after 24 hours. Apps for stores outside your organization use OAuth.
- Webhooks
- Yes. It can tell your app when something changes. shopify.dev
- Hosting
- Cloud
What you can build
Look up orders, customers and stock from your chat, and update products or add order notes.
Your chat writes it as a Hypamoon adapter from the docs above. Reading starts after you click Allow in the portal, and every write waits for your approval, one call at a time. How adapters work
Good to know
- Shopify signs in with OAuth or signed requests only, with tokens that expire. The Hypamoon vault holds a fixed key today, so an adapter for Shopify takes more work: ask your chat to check this first.
- The client credentials grant only works when the app and the store belong to the same Shopify organization.
Try it in your chat
Fill in what to read and write, and send it.
Build the Hypamoon recipe build-an-adapter for Shopify. API docs: https://shopify.dev/docs/api/admin-graphql. Read: [what]. Write: [what, or nothing].
In Claude, or another chat with the full Hypamoon connection; adapters are not in ChatGPT yet. You paste the key in the portal, never in the chat. The full recipe

Tool not listed? Ask the chat to check its API.
The same three checks work for any software. Your chat reads the vendor's own docs and tells you what it found.
Check if [software] has an open API that a Hypamoon adapter can use: public API docs, a key or token I can create myself without asking the vendor, and versions or a changelog. Link the pages you used.
Fill in the name of your software. Checking needs no connection to Hypamoon.
Ready to connect Shopify?
Connect your chat once, then ask it to build the adapter.
