Connect SharePoint and OneDrive to Hypamoon
Yes, with one catch. SharePoint and OneDrive has an open API that you can use yourself, but it signs in with OAuth only, and that takes more work in a Hypamoon adapter today.
OpenThe check
Three questions about the API of SharePoint and OneDrive, answered from its own docs.
- Public API docs
- Yes. Read the docs
- A key you create yourself
- Yes. Register an app in your own Microsoft Entra tenant, give it file permissions and have an admin grant consent. learn.microsoft.com
- Versions or a changelog
- Yes. Microsoft Graph has a stable v1.0 and a beta endpoint, with a published changelog. learn.microsoft.com
- How it signs in
- Client credentials with the client ID and a client secret or certificate of your Entra app for app only access; delegated OAuth 2.0 when the app acts as a signed in user. Client secrets have an end date and must be renewed.
- Webhooks
- Yes. It can tell your app when something changes. learn.microsoft.com
- Hosting
- Cloud
- Condition
- An admin of your Microsoft 365 tenant must grant consent for application permissions.
What you can build
Store files from your chat in a SharePoint library or OneDrive folder, look up a document, and share a link to it.
Your chat writes it as a Hypamoon adapter from the docs above. Reading starts after you click Allow in the portal, and every write waits for your approval, one call at a time. How adapters work
Good to know
- SharePoint and OneDrive signs in with OAuth or signed requests only, with tokens that expire. The Hypamoon vault holds a fixed key today, so an adapter for SharePoint and OneDrive takes more work: ask your chat to check this first.
- With the Sites.Selected permission you can limit the app to specific SharePoint sites instead of every site in the tenant. Change notifications work on folders through drive root subscriptions.
Try it in your chat
Fill in what to read and write, and send it.
Build the Hypamoon recipe build-an-adapter for SharePoint and OneDrive. API docs: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/api/resources/onedrive?view=graph-rest-1.0. Read: [what]. Write: [what, or nothing].
In Claude, or another chat with the full Hypamoon connection; adapters are not in ChatGPT yet. You paste the key in the portal, never in the chat. The full recipe

SharePoint and OneDrive is a name of its owner, used here only to describe the software. This page is not an official integration and Hypamoon has no partnership with SharePoint and OneDrive. Found something that changed? Tell us at support.

Tool not listed? Ask the chat to check its API.
The same three checks work for any software. Your chat reads the vendor's own docs and tells you what it found.
Check if [software] has an open API that a Hypamoon adapter can use: public API docs, a key or token I can create myself without asking the vendor, and versions or a changelog. Link the pages you used.
Fill in the name of your software. Checking needs no connection to Hypamoon.
Ready to connect SharePoint and OneDrive?
