Connect RingCentral to Hypamoon

Yes, with one catch. RingCentral has an open API that you can use yourself, but it signs in with OAuth only, and that takes more work in a Hypamoon adapter today.

The check

Three questions about the API of RingCentral, answered from its own docs.

Public API docs
Yes. Read the docs
A key you create yourself
Yes. Register a private app in the Developer Console and create a JWT credential for your own account. The old graduation review was retired in 2024, so new apps get production credentials. developers.ringcentral.com
Versions or a changelog
Yes. The REST paths carry a version, /restapi/v1.0/. developers.ringcentral.com
How it signs in
A JWT credential from the Developer Console plus the app client ID and secret are exchanged for an access token; the JWT itself can be set to never expire, the access token does expire. OAuth for apps used by other companies.
Webhooks
Yes. It can tell your app when something changes. developers.ringcentral.com
Hosting
Cloud
Condition
Only users with a developer account or developer role in RingCentral can create a JWT credential.

What you can build

Pull the call log and voicemails into your CRM after each call, and send texts from your business number when a lead comes in.

Your chat writes it as a Hypamoon adapter from the docs above. Reading starts after you click Allow in the portal, and every write waits for your approval, one call at a time. How adapters work

Good to know

  • RingCentral signs in with OAuth or signed requests only, with tokens that expire. The Hypamoon vault holds a fixed key today, so an adapter for RingCentral takes more work: ask your chat to check this first.
  • A JWT credential is made by hand in the Developer Console; there is no API to create one. Apps listed in the RingCentral App Gallery are reviewed, private apps are not.

Try it in your chat

Fill in what to read and write, and send it.

Say this in your chat

Build the Hypamoon recipe build-an-adapter for RingCentral. API docs: https://developers.ringcentral.com/guide/authentication/jwt-flow. Read: [what]. Write: [what, or nothing].

In Claude, or another chat with the full Hypamoon connection; adapters are not in ChatGPT yet. You paste the key in the portal, never in the chat. The full recipe

RingCentral is a name of its owner, used here only to describe the software. This page is not an official integration and Hypamoon has no partnership with RingCentral. Found something that changed? Tell us at support.

Tool not listed? Ask the chat to check its API.

The same three checks work for any software. Your chat reads the vendor's own docs and tells you what it found.

Check if [software] has an open API that a Hypamoon adapter can use: public API docs, a key or token I can create myself without asking the vendor, and versions or a changelog. Link the pages you used.

Fill in the name of your software. Checking needs no connection to Hypamoon.
