# Connect Ticketmaster to Hypamoon

Possible, with help from Ticketmaster. The API is documented, but you cannot just create a key: access goes through Ticketmaster first.

Possible

## The check

Three questions about the API of Ticketmaster, answered from its own docs.

**Public API docs**\
**Yes.** [Read the docs](https://developer.ticketmaster.com/products-and-docs/apis/getting-started/)

**A key you create yourself**\
**No.** Anyone can register for a key to the open Discovery and Commerce APIs, but those only read public events and offers. Publishing events, reservations and orders run through partner APIs that need Ticketmaster's approval. [developer.ticketmaster.com](https://developer.ticketmaster.com/products-and-docs/apis/getting-started/)

**Versions or a changelog**\
**Yes.** Every path carries a version, for example Discovery API v2. [developer.ticketmaster.com](https://developer.ticketmaster.com/products-and-docs/apis/getting-started/)

**How it signs in**\
An API key in the apikey query parameter for the open APIs; partner APIs are arranged with Ticketmaster.

**Webhooks**\
**Not confirmed.**

**Hosting**\
Cloud

**Condition**\
Organizer data such as your own events, sales and orders is only available through the Partner and Publish APIs, after Ticketmaster approves you as a partner.

## What you can build

With the open key: show upcoming events at a venue or of an artist on your own site. Your own sales need partner access.

Your chat writes it as a Hypamoon adapter from the docs above. Reading starts after you click Allow in the portal, and every write waits for your approval, one call at a time. [How adapters work](https://hypamoon.com/docs/adapters)

### Good to know

- Your adapter uses a fixed key: you paste it once in the Hypamoon portal, never in the chat, and it only goes to the API host you allow.
- The open key allows 5,000 calls a day and 5 requests per second; higher limits are granted case by case.

## Try it in your chat

First get access from Ticketmaster. Then fill in what to read and write, and send it.

Say this in your chat

> Build the Hypamoon recipe build-an-adapter for Ticketmaster. API docs: https://developer.ticketmaster.com/products-and-docs/apis/getting-started/. Read: \[what\]. Write: \[what, or nothing\].

In Claude, or another chat with the full Hypamoon connection; adapters are not in ChatGPT yet. You paste the key in the portal, never in the chat. [The full recipe](https://hypamoon.com/r/build-an-adapter)

## Tool not listed? Ask the chat to check its API.

The same three checks work for any software. Your chat reads the vendor's own docs and tells you what it found.

Say this in your chat

> Check if \[software\] has an open API that a Hypamoon adapter can use: public API docs, a key or token I can create myself without asking the vendor, and versions or a changelog. Link the pages you used.

Fill in the name of your software. Checking needs no connection to Hypamoon.
