# Connect Salesforce Account Engagement (Pardot) to Hypamoon

Yes, with one catch. Salesforce Account Engagement (Pardot) has an open API that you can use yourself, but it signs in with OAuth only, and that takes more work in a Hypamoon adapter today.

## The check

Three questions about the API of Salesforce Account Engagement (Pardot), answered from its own docs.

**Public API docs**\
**Yes.** [Read the docs](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/marketing/pardot/guide)

**A key you create yourself**\
**Yes.** A Salesforce admin sets up a connected app with the Account Engagement scope and finds the business unit ID in Setup. [developer.salesforce.com](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/marketing/pardot/guide)

**Versions or a changelog**\
**Yes.** Versioned paths such as /api/v5/, with changes in the Salesforce release notes. [developer.salesforce.com](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/marketing/pardot/guide)

**How it signs in**\
Salesforce OAuth through a connected app; send the access token as a Bearer token plus your Pardot-Business-Unit-Id header.

**Webhooks**\
**Not confirmed.**

**Hosting**\
Cloud

**Condition**\
Needs an Account Engagement edition; the daily call limit depends on it, from 25,000 on Growth to 100,000 on Advanced and Premium.

## What you can build

Create or update prospects from a form or chat, and read prospect activity and campaign data.

Your chat writes it as a Hypamoon adapter from the docs above. Reading starts after you click Allow in the portal, and every write waits for your approval, one call at a time. [How adapters work](https://hypamoon.com/docs/adapters)

### Good to know

- Salesforce Account Engagement (Pardot) signs in with OAuth or signed requests only, with tokens that expire. The Hypamoon vault holds a fixed key today, so an adapter for Salesforce Account Engagement (Pardot) takes more work: ask your chat to check this first.
- At most five API calls can run at the same time.

## Try it in your chat

Fill in what to read and write, and send it.

Say this in your chat

> Build the Hypamoon recipe build-an-adapter for Salesforce Account Engagement (Pardot). API docs: https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/marketing/pardot/guide. Read: \[what\]. Write: \[what, or nothing\].

In Claude, or another chat with the full Hypamoon connection; adapters are not in ChatGPT yet. You paste the key in the portal, never in the chat. [The full recipe](https://hypamoon.com/r/build-an-adapter)

## Tool not listed? Ask the chat to check its API.

The same three checks work for any software. Your chat reads the vendor's own docs and tells you what it found.

Say this in your chat

> Check if \[software\] has an open API that a Hypamoon adapter can use: public API docs, a key or token I can create myself without asking the vendor, and versions or a changelog. Link the pages you used.
