# Connect OpenCart to Hypamoon

Not today. OpenCart has no public API, so there is nothing an adapter can safely build on.

## What you can do instead

Ask OpenCart whether they offer API access to customers. If a public API appears, ask your chat to check it again.

-   Your store must be reachable from the internet, and the IP address of the caller must be on the allowed list for the key.
-   The built-in API in OpenCart 3.x and 4.x covers carts, customers, payment and shipping for order editing, not products or a full catalog. A full REST API needs a third party extension.
