# Connect Magister to Hypamoon

Not today. Magister has no public API, so there is nothing an adapter can safely build on.

## The check

Three questions about the API of Magister, answered from its own docs.

**Public API docs**\
**No.** Magister offers standard connections for education suppliers, such as Edu-V, SCIM and 1EdTech grades, but publishes no documentation for its own API. [Read the docs](https://magister.nl/partners)

**A key you create yourself**\
**No.** The Magister API is discussed on request with suppliers that meet the privacy covenant and processor agreement rules. [magister.nl](https://magister.nl/partners)

**Versions or a changelog**\
**Not confirmed.**

**How it signs in**\
No public API; standard education protocols for approved suppliers.

**Webhooks**\
**Not confirmed.**

**Hosting**\
Cloud

## What you can do instead

Ask Magister whether they offer API access to customers. If a public API appears, ask your chat to check it again.

- Schools cannot get their own API key. A supplier asks Magister for a connection and must sign the education privacy covenant or hold Edu-V certification.

## Tool not listed? Ask the chat to check its API.

The same three checks work for any software. Your chat reads the vendor's own docs and tells you what it found.

Say this in your chat

> Check if \[software\] has an open API that a Hypamoon adapter can use: public API docs, a key or token I can create myself without asking the vendor, and versions or a changelog. Link the pages you used.
